Life
in an Indian Village
Introduction:-
India is a country of
villages. A large majority of Indian people live in villages. But the village
life in India is very backward. The villagers are poor, hungry and uneducated.
They live in dirty surroundings.
Occupation:-
The occupations of
villagers are different from those living in cities. Most of them are
agriculturists. They work from dawn to dusk in their fields. Besides, there are
carpenters blacksmiths weavers and a few shopkeepers. The people of cities
depend on the villagers for crop.
Social life:-
The
social life is quite different from the life of the people in towns and cities.
They lead a religious life and worship many gods. They live a simple
life. In the evening they gather around the winter fire. They talk and chat
till late in the night. Hukka is used by all of them. The social lives of
villagers are very good and sweet.
Advantages:-
In a
village one can best enjoy the beauty of nature. One can hear the singing the
birds. One can enjoy the glories of the setting sun. The country is all bright
and cheerful. In a village one can have fresh air to breathe and pure food to
eat.
Disadvantages:-
The villages have their own drawbacks. The village
people are mostly ignorant and uneducated. They are old fashioned and
superstitious. They have many bad habits. They smoke and drink liquor.
Small boys also smoke. There are no good means of good recreation.
Conclusion:-
The fact is that village
life needs all-round improvement. Life in village can be made ideal if some
improvements are made. Our present government is trying to improve life an Indian
villages. Let us hope that a new age will begin soon in villages, and life will
soon be happier there.
